A composite sheet material comprising: a three-dimensional sheet material consisting of a nonwoven fabric having a multiplicity of protruding portions formed thereon and a flat sheet material consisting of a nonwoven fabric not having such protruding portions, which are layered on each other and joined to each other by welding at joining parts, a base of the three-dimensional sheet material not including the protruding portions being flat, the base being in planar-contact with the flat sheet, and the three-dimensional sheet material being joined to the flat sheet material at the joining parts at the base, wherein the area of the joining parts is 10 to 25% of the whole of the three-dimensional sheet material excluding the parts where protruding portions are formed, and some of the joining parts are provided with a through hole penetrating the composite sheet material, a plurality of joining parts is formed around each protruding portion in such a manner as to surround each protruding portion, and the joining parts are spaced apart from any adjacent protruding portion, and the protruding portions are hollow.
