Drylock Technologies, a manufacturer of disposable diapers and incontinence products with sites in Belgium and Russia, has acquired 100% of shares in CIP Assorbenti, an Italian manufacturer of femcare products. By integrating this company and its production sites, Drylock will significantly enlarge its product portfolio and increase its capacity in the femcare space, particularly in the Russian federation.
CIP Assorbenti, located near Milan, has been owned by the Lenzo family for 38 years. Following the sale of the feminine business, the family will continue to operate its wet wipes operation, CIP4.
The current employees of CIP Assorbenti will be integrated into Drylock. CEO Bart Van Malderen says the acquisition will contribute to increasing internal growth.
Drylock entered the diaper category in 2012 when it launched a fluffless diaper under the Magics brand name. At that time, the company already had a feminine hygiene product on the market. Earlier this year, the company expanded into adult incontinence products in the institutional market.
