Welspun’s advanced textile division, which started manufacturing spunlace and composite nonwovens in mid-2012, reports it has filled the capacity of 6,000 TPA within 1.5 years and has now doubled its capacity to 12,000 TPA as of May 2014.
Welspun is equipped with a modern high water pressure jet spunlace line that enables it to produce roll goods for a variety of applications, including baby wipes, personal care wipes, home and industrial wipes, medical disposables, wound care, automotive headliners and pillars, artificial leather substrates, adhesive tape substrates, coating substrates, filter media and carpet backing fabrics.
The company has also developed unique nonwoven products such as stretchable nonwovens, dot coated nonwovens and composite nonwovens from a combination of technologies such as needlepunch, spunbond and wet-laid processes.
