Aurizon Ultrasonics
Booth 1217
Aurizon Ultrasonics is a leading supplier of high-power ultrasonic systems, specializing in materials bonding and sealing. Founded in 2009 as a spin-off from Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Aurizon’s team of engineers and scientists have been developing and expanding ultrasonic technology for more than 30 years. Aurizon Ultrasonics continues to develop new and exciting solutions and will present its proprietary Elastic Entrapment System at IDEA16.
The Elastic Entrapment System directly entraps tensioned elastic within a thermoplastic substrate, providing enormous advantages to producers/converters of elasticized fabrics. The ultrasonic process creates bond points within the nonwoven material that surround the elongated, smaller diameter elastic strand. When relaxed, the elastic expands between the narrow bond points and cannot slip or creep—issues common with applications using adhesives. This revolutionary technology is changing the paradigm in consumer product converting due to the major advantages it provides.
The system is capable of entrapping a broad range of elastics at very high speeds (>1500 fpm) and effectively secures the elastics into structures without the need for costly adhesives. It virtually eliminates elastic creep in the finished product and the robust process design continuously captures elastic strands even if they break. In addition to all of the technical benefits this system offers, it saves production time and reduces costs of maintenance labor and equipment.
Using refined, state-of-the-art analytical tools and technology, Aurizon develops dynamic ultrasonic systems that produce unmatched results. Its patented technology provides a solid foundation delivering never-before-seen impact, and its spirit of innovation and dedication to technology development will continue to guide them as they develop new solutions to meet the needs of its customers.
