Kimberly-Clark has received a property tax incentive in Aiken County, the home of the company's Beech Island facility. The maker of Huggies diapers has been part of Aiken County’s landscape for 57 years and is one of the largest private employers in the area.
According to local officials, the incentive would result in over $70 million over a 40-year period. K-C has not announced any firm plans to expand in Beech Island, which is reportedly one of the company's largest operating facilities, employing more than 2000 workers. The facility currently manufactures products for including Huggies diapers, Pull-Ups and GoodNites training pants, Kleenex facial tissue, Cottonelle and Scott bath tissue, Scott and Viva towels and Cottonelle and Scott flushable wipes. It was established in 1968.
