Panda Biotech, a leader in developing and managing zero-waste hemp processing facilities, has announced the appointment of industry veteran Jason Johnson as the new head of its Nonwoven Sales Division. Johnson brings over 25 years of operational and sales experience in the nonwoven manufacturing industry, with extensive knowledge of equipment process and design and lean manufacturing principles.
Johnson spent the last seven years supplying machinery to the nonwovens, technical textile and textile recycling markets. Prior to joining Panda Biotech, he served as the chief operating officer at Vita Nonwovens for nearly 15 years, where he started in 2001 as the engineering manager.
Before his time at Vita, Johnson was a process engineer at Precision Fabrics Group, an innovative nonwoven producer specializing in high-performance dyeing, finishing and coating processes.
Johnson holds both a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Textile Engineering from North Carolina State University.
