Airlaid producer Magic SpA was honored with a Panorama Impact Award earlier this month at The Flat by Macan in Milan, Italy. The award recognizes companies for their commitment to sustainability.
During the event, awards were presented to eight companies recognized as leaders in areas such as energy transition, inclusivity, and environmental awareness Magic was honored for its steadfast dedication to combining innovation, quality, and sustainability in its production processes.
The company’s nomination was supported by Banco BPM, alongside that of La Molisana, a premier Italian pasta producer. Both firms were praised for integrating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices into their industrial processes, exemplifying the resilience and vitality of the Italian economy, which remains one the most dynamic in Europe. On stage, Panorama Editor-in-Chief Maurizio Belpietro highlighted that this second edition of Impact Awards aimed to recognize companies that have improved not only their production methods but also the quality of life and working conditions of their employees.
Mara Galli and Mauro Giani, Magic’s CFOs, enthusiastically accepted the award, stating: “Our industrial innovations, environmental certifications, and efforts to minimize environmental impact in every stage of production go hand in hand with our social commitment. The patenting and development of biodegradable and compostable airlaid absorbent materials for food packaging, as well as the medical and hygiene sectors, have made us feel pioneers in sustainable innovation.”
Galli also noted that the company’s efforts have been acknowledged by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MiSE) and have attracted interest and investment from the Sviluppo Sostenibile Fund managed by DeA Capital Alternative Funds SGR. Another source of honor for Magic is its attainment of the Legal Rating, reflecting its adherence to high standards of ethical, legal, and transparent business practices.
