Unicharm Corporation has received approval from the Science-Based Targets Initiative for its group-wide greenhouse gas emissions targets, achieving the SBT 1.5°C target. The group had received SBT 2.0°C target in May 2018.
Unicharm believes that obtaining this next level certification will contribute to several sustainability goals, including affordable and clean energy, industry innovation, responsible consumption and production and climate action. It will continue to contribute to the achievement of these goals by solving environmental and social issues through out business activities including the provision of products and services.
