Ricardo (Rico) Dostal has joined Proton Products as a regional manager in Texas.
Dostal began cultivating an interest in advanced industrial technology early in his career while serving in the U.S. Navy as an avionics electronic technician onboard the USS Kitty Hawk.
Upon completing his enlistment in the military, he moved to Japan, where he spent several exciting years as an instructor and development team leader before returning to the U.S.
After his time abroad, Dostal moved back to Texas. He took on some sales and technical support roles before eventually returning to school, where he earned a degree in Instrumentation Technology.
Soon after graduating, Dostal joined the automation and distribution firm of Rotalec USA in Minneapolis, MN; Initially hired as a technician, he was later promoted to application specialist, in support of their exclusive, non-contact sensor lines, for the U.S.
His primary focus was custom measurement and control projects for the next handful of years, where delivering a high-quality solution for the end-customer entailed collaborating closely with customers, colleagues and vendors throughout the entire project life cycle. Several of these exciting projects featured Proton Products’ latest instrumentation and control technology innovations.
“In our increasingly connected manufacturing environments, Proton Products is an ideal partner in quality, cutting-edge technology, and affordability for measurement and control," Dostal says. "I have had an incredibly positive experience working with Proton over the past few years. I am especially excited to join the Proton family as a territory manager in my home state of Texas.”
