RKW has expanded its production capacity for waste bags at its site in Echte, Germany. The company commissioned two new production lines with a capacity of 3000 tons per year. This brings the film manufacturer's total stock to 10 lines with an annual capacity of 15,000 tons. The continuous expansion measures in this product area are linked to a strong and long-term partnership with Emil Deiss KG.
Since 2013, RKW has been continuously investing in new employees and technologies at the Echte site with a special emphasis on efficient processes and products. The capacity for garbage bags alone has been expanded in the past two years with an investment volume totaling €1.6 million. In this area, RKW has for many years enjoyed a close partnership with Emil Deiss KG. After a competitor, who also supplied Deiss, recently ceased production, RKW took over the additional capacities.
"We are pleased that we have been able to increase the production of waste bags by a further 3,000 tonnes," says Markus Brinkmann, director site Echte. "This underlines the close partnership with Emil Deiss KG and the importance of the garbage bag as a sustainable product for our location". At the new facilities, RKW produces waste bags in the "Premium" and "Premium plus" categories."
