Callaly, the creator of the tampliner, has received three manufacturing awards at the Manufacturer 100 Ceremony in Liverpool, U.K. Run by The Manufacturer magazine, in partnership with Cranfield University, the awards recognize the most dynamic leaders in manufacturing with a goal of helping to dispel myths that vibrant manufacturing in the U.K. is a thing of the past.
Awardees are drawn from every type of U.K. industry from top floor to shop floor. Callaly CEO and co-founder Thang Vo-Ta was recognized in both the "Innovator" and "Best Investor in New Markets" categories. Head of engineering Akeel Khan was honored in the "Young Pioneer" category and head of product Ewa Radziwon was named "unsung Hero."
Speaking about the awards, Vo-Ta says, “We’re extremely happy to be recognised for three awards. Ewa and Akeel are key members of our team and I am exceptionally proud of them. Ewa is both the champion of the continuous improvement of our tampliner, and also the guardian of the quality of all our products.. Akeel has been influential in leading our engineering team to produce our automated machinery that has allowed us to scale up. I’m very pleased they have both been recognized for their hard work and achievements at Callaly to date. It’s also a great honor to have received my own award, alongside my colleagues.”
Callaly recently launched a full range of 100% certified organic cotton period products (including the tampliner) in fully customisable subscription boxes.
