Welspun Group will set up three manufacturing sites in Telangana representing an investment of more than RS1900 crore or $285 million. Two of the sites would manufacture technical textiles while the third will make piping material. The three sites are expected to add more than 500 jobs in total.
The Telanganda government has approved a set of customized incentives for the Welspun companies. It is the latest in a growing list of well known companies to establish operations in Telangana.
One of the technical texile plans will make floor covering carpets and luxury vinyl tiles while the other will manufacture technical woven fabrics, stitch bonded fabrics and nonwovens.
