Tredegar Personal Care will expand its North American manufacturing capacity for elastic fabrics for personal care applications. In response to increased demand for fit and comfort enhancing products for adult incontinence and baby care applications, the company plans to invest approximately $25 million in new technology and capacity in its Terre Haute, IN plant to enable production of its FlexAire elastic fabric products. The company is currently seeking local approval of the expansion and, pending approval of tax abatements, expects this additional capacity to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2019.
“Our customers have been overwhelmingly positive about our new product launches under the FlexAire brand. These new products offer innovative features that respond to growing consumer demand for higher softness, better fit, comfort and breathability,” says Steve Prince, President of Personal Care. “Tredegar Personal Care has a 40-year track record of supplying innovative high-quality materials for personal care products, and our new elastic films and laminates continue in this tradition, creating increased value for both our customers and the end consumer.”
