The Montalvo Corporation, international specialists in industrial web control systems, has named Robin Goodwin as chief operating officer for the corporation.
Goodwin’s responsibility will include managing day-to-day operations; overseeing sales, product development, human resources, and financial management; supervising development of new designs and products; and continuing to evolve Montalvo’s strategic plan and aligning the company worldwide to the accomplishment of the plan.
Managers of Montalvo Corporation’s offices in Shanghai, China, and in Europe will report to Goodwin.
Previously, Goodwin served as executive vice president for global manufacturing and supply chain for Fairchild Semiconductor, with headquarters in South Portland, MA. In total, he worked for Fairchild from 1995-2012. In addition, he has experience in financial management, purchasing, customer service and quality control. Prior to Fairchild, Goodwin worked 14 years at Digital Equipment Corporation. He has numerous certifications and affiliations, including being an APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) Certified Resource Manager.
Goodwin has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Northeastern University and an MBA from Thomas College in Maine.
Since 1947, Montalvo has manufactured, integrated and serviced a wide range of web control products and systems for the converting, paper, foil, nonwovens, and plastic film industries as well as packaging, medical and high-tech applications. Montalvo products include electronic tension control devices, load cells, indicators, brakes, clutches, and safety chucks. Montalvo manufactures in the United States, and sells worldwide.
Montalvo has completed successful upgrades for customers on narrow web presses, printing presses, corrugators, laminators, coaters, slitters, sheeters, filmers, extruders, waxers, die cutters, and embossers.
