DuPont will recycle trim from its Tyvek wrap and flashing manufacturing into first grade material as part of an initiative to achieve zero landfill status in its Business Innovation business. Other efforts being made through its “Drive to Zero” landfill program include sanding waste from the manufacture of Corian and Zodiaq as filler replacement in concrete, using scrap Corian sheet as recycled content, reusing and repairing shipping pallets and melting carrier belt film to make adhesives. After three years of focused efforts, the business hasreduced its environmental footprint from 81 million pounds annually to zero.
