The American Filtration and Separations Society (AFS) will hold a Technical Conference & Exhibition on October 17-20, 2011, at the Hilton Houston Westchase in Houston, TX, USA. There will be four plenary speakers at the conference – two speaking on Tuesday, October 18, and two speaking on Wednesday, October 19.

Schenker manages the consulting projects of Prestige Economics, LLC and is responsible for writing commentary, giving external presentations, and producing economic and market forecasts.
"The Role of Membrane in Energy Today and Future" Professor Kuo-lun Tung, Director of Membrane R&D Center, Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan
Tung is the Director of the R&D Center for Membrane Technology (CMT) at Chung Yuan University in Taiwan. The mission of CMT is to develop membrane technology, promote academic collaboration and enhance cooperation with the industry. Tung has been active in the international membrane and filtration arena. He is a member of AFS, council member of the Filtration Society in UK, and is on the managing committee of the Membrane Technology Specialist Group in the International Water Association (IWA).

Jose Bravo is Chief Scientist Separations for the Royal Dutch Shell group of companies. In this capacity he leads technology development efforts and advises the Shell leadership on technology and innovation. He is a Chemical Engineer, graduate degree from University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of more than 60 articles and one book on Separations Technology.
