Aztec Machinery Company has sold a thru air drum dryer (TAD) to a major producer of nonwoven and tufted carpets, located in the north Georgia area.
The machine, which will be used for drying and thermal bonding needlepunched nonwovens, is a single drum omega design, 4.6 meters wide with a drum diameter in excess of three meters.
"Our client conducted a thorough global search of possible machine suppliers and chose Aztec due to superior features, performance and quality," said Tom Trimble, president of Ford, Trimble & Associates, Inc., exclusive sales and marketing agents for Aztec Machinery.
In addition, Aztec recently commissioned a thru air drum dryer for a major tier one manufacturer of needlepunched nonwovens for the automotive sector. This machine will be used in a thermal bonding application.
The two machines are believed to be among the largest sold for the U.S. nonwovens industry.
Aztec Machinery is located in Ivyland, PA, and is a producer of dryers and ovens for nonwovens, technical textiles and carpets, including thru air drum dryers and ovens, compression type thermal bonding machines, tenter dryers and ovens and spray bond drying systems.
