INDEX 08 will take place at Palexpo April 15-18, 2008 in Geneva, Switzerland. The exhibition will bring together players in the nonwovens industry from raw material producers, manufacturers, finishers, converters and equipment manufacturers to trade associations and journals. Over 13,000 visitors are expected to come to INDEX to see first-hand what the leading experts in the field have to offer.
In association with the upcoming event, EDANA, sponsor of INDEX, is launching the INDEX Awards Competition for innovations in the nonwovens field. The aim of the INDEX Awards—only given once every three years—is to encourage and acknowledge innovation and new ideas in nonwovens, raw materials and machinery.
Winners will be selected in the following six areas: nonwoven roll goods; finished products made from, or incorporating, nonwovens; marketing achievement for the most original marketing campaign for a product made from, or incorporating, nonwovens; innovation in a raw material or component of special relevance to the industry; innovation in machinery of special relevance to the industry; and humanitarian contribution, a new award for a solution or product involving nonwovens that has provided a significant humanitarian or environmental contribution.
Recent winners include Advanced Design Concepts, Ahlstrom, Freudenberg Vliesstoffe, BASF and Küsters. Any company who is a member of EDANA and/or exhibiting at INDEX 08 is eligible to enter the competition. Companies are asked to submit applications and samples (if relevant) by January 2, 2008.
