The TANDEC Nonwovens Conference at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville is moving from late Fall to April for future years, at the urging of its participants and also to avoid the hurricane aftermaths of recent experience. In 2006, the 15th TANDEC Nonwovens Conference will be held April 18-20 at the UT Conference Center. Attendees will include representatives from
academia, government labs and corporate management, research and development, analytical and quality control, sales and marketing and plant production for roll goods producers and their suppliers. Advances in machinery and equipment are a major focus. In addition, end users of nonwoven products participate to encourage continual improvement and innovation in the nonwovens community. Organizers are now seeking quality papers on a variety of nonwovens-related topics
Selection of the papers to be presented will be based on abstracts of 200-400 words. Authors should emphasize new and significant findings. Graduate
students are encouraged to submit abstracts for the poster session. Abstracts
must be received by December 9. More information: Drs. Billie Collier and Bill Haile, Conference Co-Chairs; The University of Tennessee, Textiles & Nonwovens Development Center, 1321 White Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37996-1950; Telephone: 865-974-6298; Fax: 865-974-3580; E-mail: bcollier@utk.edu
