Inotis is hoping to benefit from Algeria’s status as an oil-producing nation by establishing a spunlace nonwovens line in the country. Located near Oran, the country’s second largest city, the production line features Fleissner spunlace technology and has been designed and constructed by a pool of well-known German equipment suppliers.
The line produces woodpulp/polyester spunlace roll goods which will be sold under the Licial product range. Licial’s low linting and unique drapability benefits make the products suitable for sophisticated cleaning applications that have not yet been targeted by spunlaced nonwovens , according to executives. The initial launch will be followed by a softer version of Licial, which will target niche bed linen applications as well as a hydrophobic version of the product.
