SICAM SRL is an Italian manufacturer for textile and nonwovens with over half a century experience. It all started in 1953 in Milan, north of Italy, when Idres Zanardi decided to start this experience by focusing on the textile process machineries In the early 80’, with Stefano Zanardi, the second generation, joining the company, there was an expansion of the production range introducing also the first technologies for nonwovens, which is also the now days focus of the company in whom also the third generation has joined in 2016.


Speaking with the owner Ing. Stefano Zanardi, son of the founder, the passion for mechanics immediately shines through. SICAM has in fact consolidated technologies that have affected the bonding, drying winding, from carded or airlay fibers or from continuous filaments, involving Spun Lace or Spun Bond, Staple Fiber, chemical bonding, spray bonding or thermofixing processes for decades; taylor made projects and complete turn-key solutions have brought SICAM to compete with the main international players. The mission of the company is, indeed, to providing the proper solutions to the diverse needs of its customers.


In fact, SICAM offers to the market the possibility to customize each machinery and production line with an internal engineering department able to study and find a dedicated solution to the different needs of each customer. Summarizing in three words what are the main advantages of SICAM, it can be definitely said that the company is experienced, innovator and total flexible and adaptable to the market’s evolution. This is the main reason why SICAM is also able to cover a wide range of sectors, starting from automotive and civil engineering, passing through textile, filtration and geotextile and arriving to medical, hygienic and home furnishing etc.


In an historical time in which a new level of awareness and attention about the importance of sanitizing the environment and take care of yourself is more and more increasing, after a detailed analysis of the market and its needs, SICAM is focusing on its already existing technologies dedicated to the hygienical, wipes and medical field (SpunBond, SpunMelt and SpunLace), investing also in a continuous improvement of these technologies in combination with new raw materials in order to increasingly improve in terms of costs for the customer and for the environment.
