Industry Loses Veteran

Michael Thomason, a long-time executive in the nonwovens industry, passed away June 7. He was 53 years old. Mr. Thomason, who was very active in committees for INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, as well as with the Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center at North Carolina State University, spent most of his career with Fiberweb, plc (formerly BBA Nonwovens and James River Corporation). At Fiberweb he was responsible for Intellectual Property rights, headed up the company’s Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs unit and was an analytical services leader.
