The ongoing worldwide continuous increase of production costs has forced Freudenberg Politex Group to increase sales prices of its entire product range. A leader in the production of polyester nonwovens mainly sold as reinforcements for bituminous roofing membranes and insulation materials, Freudenberg has been trying over the last few years to maintain its sales prices by investing in efficiency. “Nevertheless, the unprecedented increase in costs related to raw materials, transportation, labor and especially energy and other utilities has been eroding our capability to absorb this dramatic escalation of costs in all our operations, both in Europe and the U.S.,” stated Riccardo Sollini, president and CEO.
