Asahi Kasei Develops New Nonwovens

Posted on September 21, 2006 @ 10:38 am

Asahi Kasei has developed a triple-layer polyester-based spunbond nonwoven featuring different deniers of fibers. The medium layer of Precise is made from significantly finer denier fibers than the upper and bottom layers. The 130 cm-wide nonwovens are produced without a particular layering process and Asahi Kasei is going to construct an exclusive line capable of producing 2000 tons of the material annually in Moriyama, Japan. Production should begin in fall of 2007.
