Leggett & Platt and The Felters Group have entered into a strategic alliance to manufacture and distribute fire retardant products, primarily in the bedding market. The collaboration combines Felters’ capabilities in chemistry, product development, and manufacturing processes with L&P’s sales, manufacturing and distribution systems” said Don Van Compernolle, president of L&P's fiber division.
    Felters jointly developed Sleep-Safe chemistries with partner Synalloy.
    L&P will market the products under the Sleep Safe High Loft and Sleep Safe Duplex product lines. Either product can be used as a top panel or a border.
