K-C 3Q Profits Fall On Charges

Posted on October 27, 2005 @ 10:10 am

Profits dropped 26% during the third quarter for Kimberly-Clark due largely to charges related to streamlining the company’s business. Earnings declined to $325.2 million from $441.3 million while sales climbed 6% to $4 billion. Sales were buoyed by continued strength in developing and emerging markets along with double-digit percentage growth for key personal care brands in North America and diapers in Europe.
