PGI Nonwovens has licensed NonWovens Technologies, Inc.'s nanofiber extrusion technology, according to NTI general manager Greg Ward. Based in Oyster Bay, NY-based NTI has developed and patented meltblown technology for the production of nanofibers from a wide range of polymers. Nanofibers, produced at pressures up to 3500 psi, are as small as 250 nanometers in diameter.
