Sister companies Fibertex Personal Care and Fibertex Nonwovens will both exhibit at this year's Hygienix conference.
Fibertex Personal Care, a manufacturer of spunbond and spunmelt nonwovens in Denmark and Malaysia, is able to produce very thin, high quality nonwovens. As part of the company’s sustainability initiatives, researchers continue to focus on thinner and lighter materials that don’t sacrifice performance or quality. Earlier this year, the company introduced an extremely thin, 5gsm spunmelt nonwoven. With this Elite Strength material, Fibertex Personal Care has managed to significantly increase tensile performance versus basis weight compared to traditional low basis-weight nonwovens. Originally targeting core applications, the material is also applicable for other hygiene applications such as chassis and leg cuffs.
In addition to its nonwovens production capabilities, Fibertex Personal Care also offers direct printing on nonwovens throught its Innowo Print company, which has operations in Europe, Asia and North America.
Meanwhile, Fibertex Nonwovens manufactures a wide range of high-performance nonwovens for wipes, using highly advanced needlepunch and spunlace technologies. These materials meet today’s challenging demands, not only in terms of performance, but also by ensuring efficient overall cleaning costs. The company also offer FSC certified nonwovens on request.
Fibertex has recently completed construction on a state-of-the-art spunlace line at its U.S. operation in Grey Court, SC. This line, which will mainly focus on wipe and hygiene applications, is allowing the company to make wipes that are soft in texture, with excellent resistance and high absorbency. These materials are available in plain, apertured, embossed, white or colored. Throughout its organization, Fibertex Nonwovens' nonwovens for wipes are manufactured with consistent weight and thickness, from 30 gsm to 120 gsm, in different materials, including polyester, viscose, PP and PLA.
Fibertex's spunlace business also offers 100% cotton capabilities and GOTS organic recertification.
Additionally, Fibertex Nonwovens makes needlepunch materials for wipes, allowing them to be soft in texture, with excellent resistance and high absorbency. Needlepunch nonwovens for wipes are manufactured with consistent weight and thickness, from 60 gsm to 650 gsm, in different materials, including polyester, viscose and PP.
