Berry Global Group, Inc. has announced the location of its new Spinlace production line. The line, which will feature Berry's advanced proprietary process to hydroentangle limitless materials, will be located at its existing Mooresville, NC, facility.

The asset will provide an incremental 17,000 metric tons of annual capacity serving the North America markets. This investment, which will be a part of the company's Health, Hygiene, and Specialties Division, will meet forecasted market and customer growth, and will be focused on premium applications in the healthcare, hygiene, household cleaning, foodservice, and industrial wipes markets.

“Unique in the market, this technology provides strength, bulk, a high degree of design flexibility, as well as three-dimensional imaging capabilities for texture and branding,” says Scott Tracey, president of Berry’s Health, Hygiene, and Specialties Division. “By combining Spinlace with Berry’s proprietary Apex technology we can impart customizable three-dimensional images directly into the fabric, providing enhanced product performance, recognition and/or aesthetic appeal with brand differentiation.”

Berry announced it would add to its Spinlace capacity in February. The new line should be start commercial production in mid-2019.

“This exciting news reinforces our continued commitment to our customers in growing markets and in always advancing to protect what’s important,” adds Tracey.
