Ahlstrom is exhibiting its next generation filter media for transportation and industrial applications at Filtration 2016.

Ahlstrom DuraLube 3S for automotives is a range of fully synthetic oil filter media. The material gas grooving to provide self-support, so a traditional support grid can be removed from the manufacturing process. It’s designed to work under the most challenging conditions – it’s able to hold its structure in hot temperatures without a support layer.

Meanwhile Ahlstrom’s Captimax is a synthetic solution for using various kinds of fuels in engines. It efficiently captures particles as small as four microns and offers higher dust holding capacity in a notably smaller space than benchmark products, according to the company. Captimax also causes lower pressure drop around the filter compared to other products.

Ahlstrom’s media portfolio for industrial air filtration provides solution to safely remove dust and particulate pollution in a wide range of industrial and commercial production environments. SafePulse is its portfolio of corrugated cellulose-type grades for use in reverse-pulse installations to provide reliable removal of dust. StatGuard is designed to conduct electrostatic charge away from upstream, downstream and Z direction to dissipate it in grounded components. Meanwhile, Ahlstrom’s XAir media combines the advantages of its SafePulse media and its fine fiber meltblown technology to deliver a media with excellent reverse-pulsing properties as well as high dust holding properties for extended pulse cycles. The company’s NanoPulse filter media is optimized to remove high amounts of submicron size contaminants in reverse-pulse cleaning installations at the lowest possible pressure drop. It consists of its SafePulse media coated with electrospun nanofibers on the upstream side.
