Productos Familia S.A., Colombia, of which SCA is the owner of 50% of the shares, has been found guilty in an anti-trust inquiry related to baby diapers. SCA announced last month that it is a part of an ongoing investigation by the Colombian competition authority. The inquiry targeted Familia and three other companies in the market. Familia will be fined approximately SEK 97 million ($11 million).
SCA will make a provision for the fine related to the baby diaper category, and the amount will be reported as an item affecting comparability in the second quarter of 2016.
In announcing the ruling, SCA said it takes the matter very seriously. Since 2013, SCA has supported Familia to update its Code of Conduct which is also mentioned in tje sustainability report. Familia's code of conduct is now in line with SCA’s and based on international standards such as the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UN Global Compact Principles.
