Texol and Winpack have reached an agreement to establish an exclusive 50/50 joint venture in Chile to serve the South and Central America markets, beginning in the second quarter of 2016. The venture will meet growing demand for disposable diapers and sanitary napkins in South and Central America, which is expected to grow in line with improvements in living standards and growing birth rates.
Together, the two companies will produce and supply unique products taking and combining the advantages and synergies of Texol know-how, experience in technologies and products development with Winpack’s expertise and capabilities in production, logistics, sales and market knowledge of more than 20 years in South and Central America. The JV will produce 2D and 3D aperture film, topsheet film for sanitary napkins and elastic material for baby and adult side panel application. Other innovative and customized products will follow soon, according to local market and customer’s request.
