Bunzl plc, the international distribution and outsourcing group, has agreed to acquire two related businesses in Germany. Mo Ha Ge Mommsen Handelsgesellschaft mbH and Inkozell Zellstoff-Vertrieb GmbH, are both based in Berlin and are engaged in the sale of healthcare-related consumables, principally incontinence products, to a variety of at home end users and care homes. The aggregate revenue of the businesses in 2015 was €22 million. The acquisition is expected to take place by the end of May.
Commenting on the acquisition, Frank van Zanten, CEO of Bunzl, says: “The purchase of Mo Ha Ge and Inkozell is an important development for Bunzl as they both expand the group’s healthcare-related operations in Germany, being a sector that we entered there in 2014 with the acquisition of Bäumer. We welcome all of their employees to the group.”
