Singapore-based Diaper Recycling Technology has received the Outlook Asia Award at EDANA's Outlook Asia 2016 Nonwoven Personal Care and Hygiene Products Conference.
Accepting the award were Martin Scaife, managing director and Jessica Xing, finance manager of Diaper Recycling Technology.
Diaper Recycling Technology drew the majority of votes in this year's contest by demonstrating the principles behind a simple and innovative process for recycling hygiene products such as baby diapers back into their separated waste streams - plastic, pulp and SAP. Diaper Recycling Technology’s equipment was shown to achieve breakthrough performance in purity levels, power consumption and reduced SAP damage while requiring minimal floor space. Additional features of the presentation included the system's interoperability between both factory and post-consumer waste streams, effectively opening the market for self-sustaining, self-financed worldwide landfill relief.
Presenting the award on behalf of EDANA was Abby Bailey, director of marketing for EDANA.
