Daio Paper will begin making baby wipes in Thailand admidst rising demand for infant products in Southeast Asia. The Japanese diaper maker, which already makes baby diapers in Thailand, will initially make 150,000 packs of baby wipes per month with shipping expected to begin in April. Daio has been importing Japanese-made wipes into Thailand and hopes local production will help drive up its marketshare to 30%.

Daio has also announced plans to expand its adult diaper production in Thailand and begin selling baby diapers in India.
