The Thrace Group is expanding its spunbond capacity with the purchase of a Faré production line, which will be installed at the company's Xanthi, Greece site. The new line incorporates a number of innovative features that will allow Thrace and its customers to develop unique products that do not exist today and will satisfy future market needs. The bicomponent line is capable of using polyolefin (PP and PE) and polyester (PET) in various combinations. Also, Faré's unique technologies result in signficant energy savings and reduced material consumption.
“We are very excited with the purchase of this new line, which will allow us to remain true to our vision of being the most valuable partner for our customers,” says Costas Halioris, Thrace Group CEO.
“Listening closely to our clients’ needs and utilizing our advanced technologies, we have developed this line which we can claim is probably the best for the spunbond market,” adds Marco Farè, Farè’s general manager.
Thrace, through its member companies Don & Low and Thrace NC, is a leading maker of technical nonwovens.
