The Ontex Group will regroup its two production sites in the North of France to secure future growth potential in the adult incontinence market. Activities at the company's sites in Arras and Wasquehal, France will be combined into one site in Dourges and Noyelles Godault, located halfway between the current sites. This new factory will allow the company to further improve its production apparatus and better serve its French and international customers, while also improving working conditions.
The project holds a major commitment to employment and growth in the long run for Ontex, according to the company. The integration involves 350 jobs and will lead to a total investment of €45 million in buildings, factory lay-out and machinery.
The laying of the foundation stone on the new plant is scheduled for September 2015 and construction should be complete in summer 2016. The move of production lines will occur gradually between 2016 and 2017.
