KKA Gmbh, of Weissandt-Gölzau, Germany, has named Fi-Tech Inc., of Richmond, VA, its representative for sales, parts and service in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
A full service design and engineering company, KKA provides customized manufacturing solutions to the plastics industry, providing coating, calendaring, lamination and embossing technologies for the automotive, flooring, furniture and technical textile sectors.
In addition to providing individual components for web processing lines, the company’s in house engineering services division can deliver turn-key installations with state-of-the-art process engineering control systems.
The company, originally Kleinewefers Kunststoffanlagen, has been in existence for over 140 years.
“We are happy to work with an experienced partner that is familiar with the requirements of our customers and their needs for sophisticated and proven technologies," says Ingolf Uber, KKA managing director. "This cooperation permits us to be closer to our NAFTA region customers, which ideally complements our current portfolio as a turn-key machine supplier.”
For over 40 years Fi-Tech has represented European-based companies in North America, providing technologically advanced equipment to manufacturers in the nonwoven, synthetic fiber, plastics, perforating and tobacco industries.
Fi-Tech managing director Jeffrey Bassett says he welcomes the opportunity to represent KKA in the region. “KKA utilizes advanced technologies that provide unique solutions to their customers," he says. "There are great synergies between KKA and some of our current principals, especially Brueckner Textile Technologies. We look forward to bringing their innovative approach to the market.”
