An absorbent article comprising an absorbent structure, a liquid impervious outer coversheet and a nonwoven layer arranged between the outer coversheet and the absorbent structure, wherein said layer comprises thermochromic fibers, in which a thermochromic pigment is blended with a resin from which the fibers are produced.
