StabilStrand Glass Fiber Nonwoven

March 6, 2012

StabilStrand from Johns Manville is a specially developed innovative glass fiber nonwoven for engineered wood used for reinforcing particle boards, MDF/HDF and plywood. The product provides excellent performance for furniture lightweight construction, digital printing and direct printing.

Such composite materials have a significantly higher flexural strength and E-modulus compared to the same materials with identical weight. For example, particle boards can be produced two-to-three kilograms per square meter lighter and still meet the requirements of the P2 standard.
