Eagle Nonwovens is adding a third six-meter needlepunch line. The St. Louis, MO-based company ordered the line from Dilo Group in November 2011; it should be delivered in July. The newest line is similar to Eagle’s existing lines but has some additional features that will provide opportunities for expansion into new markets.
A 45,000 square foot addition is also scheduled to be complete in June. This expansion will bring Eagle’s facility to just more than 170,000 square feet.
Eagle Nonwovens produced 22 million pounds of needlepunch nonwovens in 2011 on two existing six-meter-wide Dilo Group lines. The new line will bring total needlepunch capacity to more than 30 million pounds annually.
