Maxcess Announces Promotions

Maxcess announced the promotion of Dan Crofford to vice president North America. In this new role, Mr. Crofford will oversee North American operations to ensure a positive experience for customers at each stage in the buying process—from first call to final delivery.

Mr. Crofford has gained considerable knowledge of the web handling industry and the operations of Fife, MAGPOWR and Tidland during his 16 years with Maxcess. As corporate controller and vice president of finance in North America, Mr. Crofford managed the financial objectives of the organization and facilitated the development of strategic growth plans by working closely with operational leaders around the world.

In another move, Maxcess has named Doug Knudtson to vice president of global operations. In this new role, Mr. Knudtson will facilitate the sharing of best practices among Maxcess operations around the world to deliver greater value to the customer.

Mr. Knudtson brings extensive human resource, quality and operational experience to the Maxcess executive team. He most recently was the president of Scott Office Systems. Prior to that, he spent 19 years with Brady Corporation in a variety of progressive roles, including vice president of global operations, where he oversaw 65 manufacturing facilities in 20 countries. Mr. Knudtson holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin.

In yet another move, Maxcess announced the promotion of Chris Harper to global product manager, MAGPOWR Tension Control.

Mr. Harper joined MAGPOWR in 1991 where he held several roles including service technician and customer support. In 2002 he became a district manager, serving as a local contact to help Maxcess customers in Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan achieve a diverse range of production goals using Fife, MAGPOWR and Tidland products. He brings a holistic view of the web handling process and a deep understanding of how guiding, winding, slitting, inspection and tension control contribute to production quality.

Maxcess also announced the promotion of Darren Irons to global product manager, Fife Guiding and Inspection.

Mr. Irons joined Maxcess in 2007 as global product manager, MAGPOWR Tension Control where he launched several product improvements to help customers improve productivity, including IP67-rated load cells, an expanded line of magnetic particle brakes, and a new tension control. Prior to joining Maxcess, Mr. Irons served Texas Instruments in various positions including product manager, product line strategy manager and product marketing manager. Mr. Irons has an Executive MBA from Baylor University in finance and marketing.
