Suominen Corporation Appointed New President and CEO

Kalle Tanhuanpää has been appointed president and CEO of Suominen Corporation as of May 2006. Mr. Tan­huanpää comes from Huhtamäki Oyj, where he was an executive committee member and where he had responsibility for global customer strategy. During 2004–2005 Mr. Tanhuanpää led Huh­tamäki's functions in America and  was located in the U.S. Previously he held various positions at Leaf Group, including European marketing director, managing director in Finland and managing director.

Rick Baer has assumed the new role of executive vice president of corporate de­velopment at Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) following the company's change in ownership to Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc. in October.  Mr. Baer will also assume the responsibility of overseeing strategy development for PCMC's line of inline flexographic printing presses. He will use his considerable market experience to focus on this key product line to develop a vision for growth that will increase the significance of this business unit in PCMC's future.
