Application Development

February 10, 2006

A new ultrasonic pouch sealer at Herrmann Ultrasonics’ North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL is now available for application development. This ultrasonic pouch unit can seal pouches or roll stock up to a 10-inch opening width and is equipped with adjustable forces for developing sealing parameters. This state-of-the-art ultrasonic sealer enables a wide range of trial possibilities from basic material feasibility studies to in-depth application development and simulation of the ultrasonic sealing process for future production lines. Herrmann Ultrasonics will offer engineering support for developing seal patterns that promote optimal seals.

Key benefits of ultrasonic sealing include: the ability to seal through contaminated surfaces such as liquids, powders or fibers, providing hermetic seals resulting in fewer leaks and lowering the cost of goods return, packaging material costs savings, shorter sealing and hot tack times provide potential increase in production line speeds and increased product quality as less heat is introduced into your package.
