Flame-Retardant Textile Coatings

BASF and Schill + Seilacher have developed new flame-retardant formulations for BASF's Lurapret textile coatings. As a result, the coatings can slow down or even prevent the spread of fire, minimizing the injury that fire can inflict on people and the environment. The range of applications extends from curtains, roller blinds and mattress ticking to furnishing fabrics for the theater, upholstery for streetcars and black-out curtains for hotels.
