Kimberly-Clark Corporation has appointed Edwin Garcia to the newly established role of vice president of corporate diversity and inclusion. Formerly the chief executive officer of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, Mr. Garcia will lead the development of Kimberly-Clark’s global diversity and inclusion strategies and programs. He will report to Liz Gottung, senior vice president-global human resources. “As a global company, Kimberly-Clark believes that attracting, retaining and developing a highly diverse workforce is key to our success,” said Ms. Gottung. “Edwin Garcia brings relevant expertise and extensive management experience to this important new position,” she added. “He will help us accelerate our diversity initiatives worldwide and create a company where all employees feel they can contribute, grow and do their best work.”
As CEO of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, Garcia led growth initiatives and managed national operations for the 6500-member professional development organization. Before that, he worked in various research, product development, manufacturing, human resources and diversity roles at Eastman Kodak and Dell, Inc.
