Drapeable Sanitary Absorbent Napkin

An absorbent article was recently patented. It comprises a cover layer, a barrier layer, and an absorbent system arranged between the cover layer and the barrier layer. The absorbent article has a first portion and a second portion. The second portion has an MCB that is greater than an MCB of the first portion. The absorbent article has a total thickness of less than 2.5 mm and at least part of the first portion satisfies one of the following equations: AI>3.3_1.2 ln(BW/MCB), where BW/MCB_6.8; and AI>1, where BW/MCB>6.8.
