A nonwoven fabric has been issued a patent. It comprises a plurality of low basis weight portions longitudinally extending in a first direction and formed by directing a fluid to a fiber assembly. A plurality of high basis weight portions longitudinally extend in the first direction. The low basis weight portions and high basis weight portions are alternately arranged adjacent to each other. Each of the high basis weight portions has a central portion and side portions on opposite sides of the central portion. A fiber basis weight of each of the low basis weight portions is less than a fiber basis weight of each of the high basis weight portions. In each of the low basis weight portions, a content percentage of fibers oriented in a second direction is perpendicular to the first direction and is greater than a content percentage of fibers oriented in the first direction. In each of the high basis weight portions, a content percentage of fibers oriented in a thickness direction of the fabric is greater than that in each of the low basis weight portions. A content percentage of fibers oriented in the first direction in each of the side portions is greater than that in the central portion.
