Description:
A monofilament comprising a polyester core and a core coating was granted a patent. The core coating comprises a vinylidene chloride copolymer. The monofilament is drawn at a draw ratio of about 3.0:1 to about 4.5:1 and is heated to a temperature up to about 100° C. The drawn monofilament is heat set at a temperature in the range of 100° C. to 220° C.
