Varied Density Nonwoven

A nonwoven article has been granted a patent. It comprises a plurality of intertwined fibers and has a width, length and thickness. The thickness of the nonwoven article is substantially uniform across the width. The nonwoven article comprises a first zone with a width extending across a portion of the width of the nonwoven article and a second zone adjacent to the first zone. A width extends across a portion of the width of the nonwoven article. The first zone has a first density of the fibers, which is substantially uniform across the width of the first zone. The second zone has a density of the fibers therein. The density of the fibers in the second zone vary across the width of the second zone according to a gradient exhibiting a maximum density adjacent to the first zone.
